SAFETY RULES AND
IMPRESSION GUIDELINES
BASIC UNIT RULES:
1) You must attend any and all safety briefings.
2) Never point a weapon directly at anyone at any time. Never!
3) Never fire at an individual within 20 feet, even with a blank adapted weapon.
4) Never fire around a blind corner nor over a wall without checking for individuals!
5) No alcohol use 8 hours prior to any demo.
6) Never fire a weapon in campsites. Fire only in designated areas after announcement.
7) It is suggested members wear hearing protection at all times and eye protection, when possible, during demos.
8) Keep clear of any vehicles if used during any demos we are involved in.
9) Never fix bayonets during a demo. Never!
10) Never move vehicles in campsites, especially after dark.
11) NO one may use a weapon under 18 years of age. Underage members may do medic or ammo carrier under supervision. If under direct parental supervision, underage members at least 16-years-old can carry a weapon.
These are basic rules. Most events will have a list you must follow. Read them carefully if they are listed or supplied in written form.
IMPRESSION GUIDELINES:
Our impressions include German World War II Fallschirmjager 1939-45, USGI 1940-45 and USGI Viet Nam era. German World War II Fallschirmjager is our primary impression. All impressions in the field of battle will be as frontline units and will follow era rules of engagement.
1) Impressions must align with our timeline impression mission and date.
2) Hairstyles must align with the timeline impression. No hair-buns, ponytails, or hair exceeding helmet to be allowed on battlefield or public demonstrations.
3) Facial hair: absolutely no full beards. Only two-day growth maximum. Mustaches are allowed but must be cut to corners of mouth to match time-era involved demonstrations.
4) Female impressions should be as date, timeline, period-correct impressions. Nurses, medics, auxiliary units, period civilian dress, etc. as allowed in camp sites, display areas and to assist at public demonstrations.
5) Your uniform and equipment should follow the basic impression in the field of our units’ mission of the day
